Ways to Use Evernote In Your Business and How to Do It
Are you using Evernote as a business tool? If so you are going to love what you read in this article. Below are our favorite ways to incorporate this fantastic tool into our everyday business practices.
Interviews/Speeches & Presentations
If you find yourself being interviewed then organizing your questions in Evernote is going to be extremely helpful. If you have been given a list of questions you can add them into your notebook. Or you can create your own list. We like to create our own list and use this as suggestions when we are asked to give interviews.
As well as questions, you can prepare your answers by making notes of the key points you want to cover. You can also use these same tactics when creating your own speeches or presentations.
Plus once your interview or speech is finished you can easily take your own pointers and turn them into an article on your blog. Great way to repurpose content!
How organized are you when it comes to your business receipts? If you are like most people, not that great!
Instead of filing all of your business receipts into a shoebox and waiting until tax time to sort through them. You can now use Evernote instead. You can scan your receipts and save them. To do this you just need to use the Import Folders feature.
How many swipe files do you have on your computer? You probably save certain items in your Favorites or Bookmarks. With other items you may actually create a document with links or notes to certain files that you liked. You may have even resorted to taking screenshots of websites, squeeze and landing pages that you liked. This can result in a lot of extra files taking up space on your hard drive.
With Evernote it is super simple to take a web clip and save any images or complete sites directly into one of your Notebooks. Just add related tags as you save them and they will be easy to find when necessary.
You can now create various swipe files such as headline, landing pages, website designs and more and save each into a separate notebook. Talk about being organized and efficient.
These are just a few of the ways we currently use Evernote for our business. Of course you can easily come up with your own uses for Evernote. Take a look at what you do for your business on a daily basis and see if you can incorporate Evernote into it.

Once you start finding your way around Evernote you will enjoy using it. Your first step of course, is to start by creating your first Note. It is important for you to understand that a Note in Evernote can capture text, images, files, audio, web clips and more.
To create your first Note you simply click on the New Note Button – find it in the top center of your window.
Add your contents and any attachments that you wish. You can add an attachment by dragging and dropping it in the Note, or by using the Audio or File buttons.
You format your text in the same way you would a Word or Open Office document. To edit a Note click on the name of your note in the Note List and click inside to start editing.
